I did the April version of the Luv2Run; it's a fantastic course. Verrrry flat. The only inclines are going over the bridges over the Charles, that's how flat it is. :) Not to mention pretty, of course, being right next to the Charles. :)
I got one. It was (mostly) free, too; I got a gift certificate from the Luv2Run race. They had a free raffle at the end that was amusing: the guy said "I'm going to just call out bib numbers very fast, so when you hear your number, c'mon up and grab a pint glass or a gift certificate or a water bottle or whatever you want."
He then starts rattling off numbers more-or-less as fast as he can. :) With good reason: about half the race had already left by that point, so the number of hits was low. I thought I wouldn't get anything, and I got my first choice (a GC for a road ID).
I think the GC was $15, and it was $18 or so total, what with s/h. :)
I have a Road ID and I am also planning on doing the jingle bell run. Of course, my back is being wonky (again), so I am a little derailed in my training.
