At a homeschooling convention when I was thirteen, a guy a few years older than me handed me a fortune cookie fortune that said "Sometimes a stranger can bring meaning to your life." I'd just met him that weekend and had barely talked to him, and he left before I could ask about it. It made me think a lot about the peripheral impacts of my actions.
