1. What's your dream house like?
Large, sunny, wood floors, an enormous and well-stocked kitchen, a room just for music, a room just for crafty things, a yard, a garden, a good stereo system, an office. Located somewhere near a city but not right in it. And money to pay someone to clean it.

2. If you could invite one fictional character to dinner, who would it be and what would you serve? Would you invite friends?

Wow, that's tough. Lord Peter Wimsey, perhaps. I'd serve an elegant dinner -- perhaps roast leg of lamb. And I'd be sure to get someone who knows their wine to pick something suitable, as I know my wine palate couldn't possibly prepare for Lord Peter! And yes, I'd invite friends. Someone like Lord Peter needs a wider audience.

3. What was your reaction when I phoned you out of nowhere to tell you my life was falling apart?

Complete astonishment, at first. I don't think I'd heard your voice since you left California, which was a good three or four years earlier. Then pleasure at the knowledge that, when your life was falling apart, I was the person you reached out to.

4. Have you ever taken any traits or principles you learned from a character you've played on stage, and applied them to your daily life?

Not directly, no, I don't think so. Most of the characters I've played have been G&S characters, and they're generally not real enough characters to take many life lessons from.

Though playing the Fairy Queen did remind me of the importance of one's posture.

5. Would you rather discover a heretofore completely unknown Sophoclean tragedy, or the score to Thespis? Assume each was provably genuine.

Tough call, but I'll go with Thespis, because I could actually appear in it. I know my acting abilities well enough to know that I'm not cut out for Greek tragedy!
