Performing and professional tryouts
Jun. 14th, 2003 10:08 pmI'm 0 for 2 on my auditions for summer theatrical things. (Neither is a great surprise; both were for things where students get preference, and I am very much not a student!)
I want to perform somewhere. Anyone have suggestions?
In happier news, I HAVE A JOB! For 6-9 months, anyway. I'm going to be a supervising editor (which sounds pretty impressive, I have to say...we'll see if it actually is!) at the company for which I've been doing science test writing. And it's possible, if it's a good fit and if there's enough work, that this could turn into a staff job.
I also have a headache, but that will pass.

I'm going to be performing in the Harvard Summer School Chorus, and will mail you the audition info if you're interested (they're doing the Other Mozart Mass and a Schubert Mass). My experience with them is that the group is only worth doing if you have a serious yen for singing in really, really large choral groups, but the director is a hoot and keeping up with her is challenging enough to be worth my time. YMMV.
