Hey, Ruddigore people out there in lj-land?

You rock.

Great shows this weekend, even the one in which I filled in as Lord High Substitute chorister. I'm really pleased with how the show has turned out. As someone once said to me, I'd be proud of it if it were really mine to be proud of. The cast has worked very hard, and it shows. I strongly encourage everyone who hasn't seen it yet to come next weekend (Thursday and Friday nights and Saturday afternoon).

I actually got sleep this weekend. This is a good thing.

I didn't get much done on the Enigma, which is bad. Mostly, when I wasn't at MIT, I was playing silly computer games. But I guess even a vocal director/puzzle editor gets a weekend off once in a while! I did write my post-event letter for Legends, finally. Which isn't exactly a real-world obligation, but is something I've been meaning to do.

Oh, and I bought sugar, which I'd been out of.

Very glad it's going well!

I was wondering-- I've never seen/heard Ruddigore, so I don't know if it'd be a good one to use as an introduction to Gilbert and Sullivan. Calluna's never heard any of them, you see.

I prefer it to Pinafore or Mikado, personally. It's in my second pair (after Pirates and Iolanthe; tied with Gondoliers.)

And this is a good interpretation of it.

Is there no Saturday evening show next weekend?

Nope. Conflicts with Chamber Choir (they want 3 of our leads) and MTG (they want us out of Sala by midnight so they can start their put-in).

Shoot... That's somewhat difficult... If I'd known that I would've made an effort to drive up last Friday.
