Anyone got a recipe for rolls to recommend? I'm not making my usual Thanksgiving rolls because they have to be finished at the last minute and oven space is always at a premium. I've found a couple of possible recipes, but if someone has a favorite to recommend...

I should do work. I'm supposed to be working at home, not hanging around looking up recipes. But I have the two most depressing chapters of the book still to work on. I should go to Diesel or something.

And, now, some memes.

I've used this one before with success.

I should think so. I've never set out to do that myself, but the shortening content looks high enough to keep them from going stale overnight. I seem to recall I've had leftover rolls and eaten them the next day without a problem in taste.

Oh, and if you didn't notice, the recipe page lets you adjust the number of servings and recalculates the ingredients for you. Handy, that.

I have a Parker House Roll recipe at home (not with me, unfortunately). If you want, when I get home I can email it to you.

The rolls are a yeast bread, so they do require rising time (which is why I don't make them very often).

Or as an alternative, you can make biscuits - [livejournal.com profile] autumnesquirrel has a really good recipe for them and they are definitely quick and easy.

Personally there's a raw-crescent-roll-in-a-cardboard-tube thing you can buy in a supermarket and cook with my level of cooking interest, which I consider THE canonical Thanksgiving bread side.

This may not be your style, but it works for me.

Goddess!

Were there poorly-dressed Greek gods?
