I cleaned up most of the junk in the room where my desk is. It's still not to my mother's standards, but she had to learn a long time ago that my standards of neat were less, shall we say, stringent than hers.

I know that when my mom visits, she's going to try to clean or reorganize no matter how clean I think I've got things. So I try to make it so that she feels useful, but doesn't tell me how messy I am, which occasionally actually happens.
