Now, I know some of you out there object to the idea of modernizing the setting of a G&S. And this one does have a modernized setting; it's been transposed to a modern American high school. I can't tell you what you do or don't like, but I can tell you this: I was very skeptical of the concept at first. But it works. It works really really well. I encourage you to give it a chance, and in the process you'll be treated to some very talented performers doing some very clever things. And if you've seen a lot of MITG&S shows, this is your chance to see some new faces and some familiar faces doing quite unfamiliar things. So please come!
Also: If you can't come this weekend, but are free tonight, we're looking to have a small audience for the dress rehearsal to give the cast some experience with how an audience reacts. Contact me if you're interested.
